We have them on the farm . I use mine for either rabbiting , or ratting. They are extremely intelligent animals and very playfull . I think the secret to a good ferret is handling. Play with it every day for a couple of hours and encourage your kids , if you have any, to pick it up and play with it !!!! If it does bite , then usualy it hits bone , which is very painfull believe me !!. I know there are different ways to make it let go if it does bite , but the method I use , is to gently bite the end of it's tail.................works for me !!!!
