It can work as long as certain things happen:
Both love each other etc etc etc. Don't have to be there to just love someone. Distance is irrelevant.
Both can make the effort of communication to each other. Gotta keep each other up to date with each other or just leave messages of love n stuff.

Won't work if only one chases the other or if you don't do the above. It's extremely hard work. Otherwise you'll be able to do it no matter the hardship.
