I had a male ****zu named Scrappy . He was 12 years old but we had to put him down last summer because he had cancer that could not be treated. It was so hard on the kids since they had been with him since they were very young. We got Scrappy when he was 6 weeks old. I don't think I will ever get another dog as it is just to hard when things like this happen to them.
