to listen, or not to listen

Why do women insist on men listening, and then when we do, and correct them on things that they said, get all upset and angry with us for correcting them? do we listen and ignore the mistakes you make letting you go through life believing ur always right, or correct you and suffer the wrath?

Um...i have no idea, but i must admit we women are a lil fickle when it comes down to arrogant men!

Women say men don't listen because they truly dont! They have selective hearing and only hear what they think they hear and not whats actually been said hence the ensuing row!

i still dont understand, if its true "They hearing and hear what hear and actually been said hence the ensuing row!" then what starts the row?
I'm not saying that there are rare occassions when men dont listen, but when we do, we remember it coz we listen to the important bits, so when u get the recital wrong n we correct you, we get the selective memory bit so we doubt ourselves even tho we;re right. is there a parrallel universe where men dont get ragged by women?

You see you couldn't even quote correctly what I even wrote and you are then saying what starts the row! Listen to everything that is said, how it is said. Don't start questioning or analysing what you regard as the 'important bits'. Everything someone says holds relevance. Its no wonder people then become upset if they are then answered as if they'd said something totally opposite. It's a very common problem amongst people generally although men seem to be the worst culprits it seems.

Bonky that's a different issue concerning women who always think they're right and not at all what was initially said. He's talking about women saying men don't listen basically. You're doing it now! You too aren't listening to what is being said only what you think has been said. Now this is getting funny guys!

Mischa, it amuzes me u cant see a joke when it is staring you in the face, i deliberately mis-quoted you to play into the "men only hear what they want to hear" u totally missed it, maybe it is not men who always misinterpret things, maybe we are right in our thoughts, and the reason women get wound up when we dont listen is because we have the abilirt to decide what is drivel and what is not, and when we do correct them on what is said it is a problem cause you mis-interpret what is said and so remember it a different way. think the mystery is solved guys, go on prioritising things, the problem lies not with us. ignorance, it seems, truely is bliss.
