depends on if ya best friend is available an ya can hope that if ya do get togetha an then break up can ya remain friends or not i wouldnt chance it if it was me id rather keep me mate than lose out on both only u can decide

Long lasting relationships quite often start off as friendships as when the looks go and body parts start to drift southwards there needs to be something else! The danger of moving on from best friend status is that the other person might not have the same feelings, but nothing ventured nothing gained.

such a bad idea...its good for a while but when it goes wrong u dont only lose your partner but u also lose a friend too...seen it happen so many times

I have to say i agree Sulty - - - i have seen it too - - majority lose the friendship and can't regain it after moving to more than pals. Sad - but true.
