I guess when you are young you want to party hard and maybe aren't too interested in quality relationships. Saying that i'm not sure that is true. Teenagers and young *****s long for real intimacy all the time. I guess they see *** as the ultimate measure of intimacy, which it kind of is, if you have good ***. Saying that, real intimacy often comes from friendships and colleagues at work in a funny sort of way. I guess as you grow up you realize that you can't rely on one person for all your happiness.

Thanks for your reply. Yes I guess some people suit that kind of close relationship but it probably doesn't work for everyone. I guess the idea of having a soulmate can be appealing but it can have it's darker side, like people abandoning reason in order to commit to a marriage and having kids and ending up divorced and unhappy. Some people I have spoken to say divorce was the best thing that ever happened to them though. Some people see it as a relief, some as a trauma. People are so different so it's important not to be to rigid when deciding how you want to live your life.
I've met quite a lot of young wives with kids that are really unhappy because they feel they have chosen the wrong man or they wish they had their social life back. I think it is important to consider all the social factors in your life before committing to a close ***ual relationship or having children for that matter. This is just my point of view though there are lots of ways to find happiness. Finding that ideal partner and having kids could be the ideal solution. Obviously some of the time relationships fail because of external factors but I guess you learn from your mistakes more than from your successes. |
