Downside of Chat Room

The downside for me is that most ppl treat it like a dating site and not so much as a way of forming friendships that spans continents and countries. It is rather a shame because I would rather have a lot more friends than dating partners. It is much more comfortable chatting to someone that is geniune interested in what u do, where u live than trying to safeguard yrself against a pervert or other types of nasty creatures. But that is the way of *****world lately. Positive side is that u do get to interact with ppl and on this particular site it is nice to see that u can post things and get a little look at there likes and dislikes. So for keep on happy posting it is very interesting|

ok so i have been chating in chat rooms for the better part of 7 years now, i have met online mainly (a couple in person) some lovely people some of whom i am still in touch with even though i have now changed sever and can no longer get in that chatroom.
i have met some wonderful people in this one too and thankfully by sheer luck met up with one in another chatroom where we were able to exchange info and now keep in regular touch with each other.
i have also met a lovely chap in a different chatroom who is from the yemen and as a result of that he is now teaching me arabic, so lots of good things can come out of chatrooms whether your able to exchange info or not.
long may they continue
