i dont think so but im sure its happened.

It happens i met my partner on the internet n we have been together for over 5 years n still as happy,,,,,,

Anything is possible ,,, You can meet someoen online and connect with them and when you meet its a feezer or You can meet someone online connect with them and they rock your world it works out (( happy ever after))

After a string of offline relationships what didn't work out in my eyes I got bored of local girls (as crazy as that sounds but it's a small town) I found them too alike and it bored me I met a girl online who lived in Scotland and we connected and yeah we dated (But I intended to meet her a few weeks after) luckily for me even though she was all "oh my god I love you" I never felt the connection I never felt LOVE as such ... I mean don't get me wrong I was never a romantic to start with "love" isn't a huge part of me .. but I didn't feel anything like it towards her ;s what leads me to believe you can't love through a computer screen o-o (Sorry folks who say they do)

After that I would never date online again I later found out she had a offline boyfriend who she had a kid with who she cheated on six times OFFLINE (he just found out a couple of months ago) and like 16 online ;o ..and to top it off she was living on state benefits (charming) and had a history of lying about cancer ..

Just goes to show you shouldn't trust people online =| and I personally from experience don't think you should date people online either .. but I guess there's been some success stories

... it is possible to fall in love with the persona of the person. No-one can love what they don't have in their hands ... yet ... everyone can love what's in their hearts. But what is in the heart is *of* the heart if that is all that it is. In short; it's possible to fall in love with the persona; it's possible to 'feel' you are in love with that persona, but until the persona becomes real the love can never be said to be real. it's OK to read about the success's of those who fall in love without meeting, but there are just as many failures out there of those who stated they were in love and yet it wasn't love when it came to meeting.

Yes you can, I met my last wife online we talked online then on the phone, we met in York and fell immediately in love. We were together for ten years married for six years and would have been allot longer.
Sadly she suddenly passed away a month ago we were best friends as well as lovers and laughed and joked all the time.
I miss her every second of every day.
Maybe because we both wasn't looking for someone as we were both married (OK not great marriages) it worked.
Looking at the divorce rate in England meeting on or off line the success rate isn't good.

I think it's just as easy (at least for me) to fall in love online as it is offline.

I remember in highschool it felt like every month I'd find a guy in the school I started to fancy, as well as having 2 others still in the process of fancing, while going off some guy who decided to go out with some other girl or stuff. Ok, so I didn't properly love them, and in hindsight I barely even knew them or spoke to them, but I had managed to imagine a billion scenarios with whoever I fancied most at the time, coming to ask me out and holding hands and making the nasty girls feel that little bit jealous that I was happy and had a great bf!

The thing with the internet is that it is so damn easy to decieve people. Too easy. Someone could use the username ukguy21 (for example) one day, queenbee35 (for example) the next day, and no one would ever think it's the same person. Stick in some fake photos, some made up back story, not got webcam sorry, and you wouldn't know if the person was who they said they were.

It's not good to be able to lie so easily. It's also good to not be stalked so easily either. There's less reason to lie about for example age when you are standing right in front of someone, but then again it's still possible to lie about having a bf or being married if you randomly hook up, etc...

So yeah, it's possible because it's still a human being you're talking to. But that's about all you know *for certain* on the internet.
