First night as a host

Tara asked me n someone else give being a host a go in the newbies room and we said yes, the other host went to bed around 11pmish, i was up til almost 2am, let me clarify!!!!

I always thought being a host was hard i never imagined it being easy, i've watched and admired hosts/admins work as a standard member since i joined and thought they did a great job, when tara asked me to host in newbies i said yes - i knew it would be hard work yes but what i learned just from my first night is incredible..
People think they gain the right to talk to you however you please and when they don't like your comments "oh your just on a power hungry trip" When i left newbies to go into tara's there would be the same people in htere and thought they had the right to talk to me how they wished in that room purely because i was ******* the other room, and held a grudge over for example a kick over being constantly rude!

People were coming in congratulating me and the other person saying they would love to host put in a good word - i think they get off in the fact that hosts have a special kick button but it's not as powerful as you think...someone may come in who's plainly annoying you but you can't kick them out because they've broken no rules and alot of you who want to be hosts, would.

I finally understand why admin are choosing their hosts so carefully and am greatful for the opportunity. Everytime i went to leave for sleep last night, did someone come in that needed to be kept an eye on. I was happy to eventually get to bed only to find i was struggling to sleep anyway.

If you read this and are a member that backchats - think carefully before you do, we don't like kicking or muting you - we're just trying to keep the rooms pleasent for members!
