Views on Hosts & Admin

Hi guys,

Iv been back on the site now a few weeks and iv noticed a couple of things that's shocked me. Iv been a woccer now for a few years and never in my time here have i seen such disregard, and abuse given to both hosts and admin. Ok, yes you may say i am being biased as i host in guests, but i was a chatter like the rest of you for a lot longer than i have been green. The attitude people now shown to admin n hosts is shocking and i thought id post on here my disgust at it.

What a few users (not all) need to realise before slating these people are:

A) Without hosts giving up their free time to come into the rooms, the site would be full of kids, idiots, abusive and annoying people instead of the 98% happy atmosphere that u have in WoC and the other 2% dealt with.

B) And most importantly, without the admin team, you wouldn't even have a site to come onto. Someone said to me tonight there are hundreds of other chat sites....yet you are here, so that must mean something?! These guys work hard to keep this site going for all of us (and remember it doesn't cost us a thing), so maybe a little gratitude should be given.

Anyway, i just thought id post in here to get it off my chest. I can assure everyone one of you, even if i wasn't a host in guests i would still be posting this right now. a small minority of people need to read this and realise that they r being idiots n instead of pishing everyone off, do what we all come here to do....have a damn good chin wag and if your like me...enjoy bullying jazzy :-)

I agree Lee. During my brief stint as a host in guests I recieved numerous amounts of abuse.If you want my advice - sticks and stones and all that, I get abuse everyday and have learned to grow a very thick skin.For what its worth I think all the hosts do a great job and I thoroughly enjoyed my time doing it. I will always be a woccer and no amount of abuse will stop that. xxx

I just wish everyone would get along nicely ffs. Some chatters can be a pain, we all know the net is full of freaks, its to be expected... and sometimes admin come across as unnecessarily rude and unpleasant.

Before anyone says to me 'if you don't like it here then fook off', I do like it here, and I don't want to fook off. I love this site and many of the people who frequent it. I love the fact that it is moderated, however this silly 'us' and 'them' culture is growing and it leaves a bitter taste.

Peace out ffs. We're all here for the same reason, to chill out, speak with interesting new people and generally have fun. EVERYBODY.... let's try and keep this in mind.

I am probably going to get slated for this but.....

I agree with what you are saying DJ that no one at all deserves any sort of abuse as we are all human beings with feelings buttttttttttttt.... you are on about you free up your own time to host (this I belive is your own decision) and yes if Admin didn't exist there would not be a site at all to come onto but that is just a given.....

I do think that some times hosts just in general do take their "responsbility" to a new level just sometimes and I always view my opinion when this happens though must say I have had to only do this once in my time here...

You state that the respect etc, this is not my job i give my boss respect, and im not one of these ppl that goes out and looks for trouble and never ever has had a fall out with admin or hosts, but i think your comments were very strong, i don't respect ppl i dont know nor have i met, i respect my father my boss and my friends and loved onesl, but i do of course under stand why you are tehre and it is a good thing you are to help it to stay safe and free of morons!!

anyway im sorry not wanting to cause and arguement so please dont shoot me down lol but just my view!!

My first experience of a host in a chat room was you DJ... in newbies chat. I asked how to enlarge the chat room text as I cannot read small print on computer ?

I tried the T button and also my own pc magnifier to no avail, text was still too small.
Caps seemed my only hope which I did try but u muted and kicked me and when I asked if I could pm or email u ... I was rejected and told that was the rules and basically "*$%^&* " if I didnt like it ?

Having been an original member of FR and FRC since it started around 2001 I felt your attitude was not a very welcoming one.
