Theres been a lot of bickering in here today and people commenting on this whole hosts vs regs thing. What i would like to know is why is there always a big inquisition whenever a reg chatter upsets a host? And yet whenever a host upsets a reg chatter you all form a unified front and tell people to just grow up?

I dont have an issue with 'most' of the hosts on this site, but I cant help seeing this same pattern in the forums over and over again. Yes i appreciate we should all feel the love blah blah blah, but if someones upset with something thats been said then you cant just dismiss it cus youre a host. Shouldnt it be addressed? In fact, shouldnt it be MORE important?

I know people have misunderstood and misinterpreted things, but all I see the host doing is defending their own position. Youve said something out of line, whether it was meant as a joke or not is of no consequence. Anyone out there with any knowledge at all about harrasment and bullying etc will know perfectly well that its not the intention of the remark that matters, its how it was percieved by the victim. So whats so hard with just saying 'Yes I made a mistake, I never meant to upset you, and I'm sorry.'?

Regardless of whether people just need to grow up or not, they still have feelings. Upset is upset, and if youre all just gonna completely disregard that then you can stick your 'feel the love' where the sun dont shine, cus for me, its an empty sentiment.

i think you will find i have already spoken to misslipsy yesterday, apologised if i offended her as it was never my intention....too slow :P

Also didnt all this start because regs wasnt happy with other regs and when i replied saying what i did, then all of a sudden it turned to hosts. At the end of the day, hosts are not perfect aswell. we are human and not computer generated. i upset lipsy, and i apologised the next time i saw her for it. anyone who knows me knows i would never intentionally upset anyone, something you dont know yet as you have been very quick to judge me and hardly know me. the reason hosts are hosts is because they have been coming on the site for a long time and admin knows and is confident in them not offending anyone intentionally and in general having a laugh with the users whilst keeping the rooms free from troublemakers and idiots. we are chatters too remember. What is annoying me at the moment tho is, you are all very quick to slate hosts at the first opportunity, yet when idiots are in the rooms, its very fast how people question where the hosts are and want them there.

and in reply to sugar, you dont see what goes on behind closed doors, yes we are a team and we work as a team to help you users try to enjoy the site as much as possible. what you dont see, is if we do go too far, or do something admin isnt happy with, we are the first to be told by admin and depending on the seriousness the green could be removed. but as people dont see this 'it doesnt happen'. how about chilling out on the slating hosts for a bit, as if we wasnt here to help you guys out, im pretty positive you users wouldnt be here too as they place would be full of *** starved idiots who harrass you 24/7. we dont want thanks, all we want is a good chat like the rest of you, and for people to accept if we make a decision, we have good reason for it, and not to be asked by half the room why. if woccy wasnt happy with it...trust me, we would know about it.

anyways im out of this conversation now, to be fair im fed up of hearing about it. go on if you want, thats your choice, but surely u dont come online to just b1tch n complain about everything??!!

Oi... I happen to think i am quite fair with every1.... If people have an issue with a host and u cant sort it out between yourselves then it should be aired i agree.... However this is not bash a host day. ... Remember u dont see a lot of what hapens behind the scenes and the pms we get from regs and newbies with complaints about other chatters... I do fully understand ur all frustarted at the minute with certain chatters but lets not escalate this to a full scale bitchfest please...btw my lappy is still down... Hopefullu back soon tho and i miss u all x

What part of 'Not a personal attack' is so hard to comprehend. This is an open forum isn't it? I saw an issue and thought it needed raising, si I raised it.
This just backs up my whole point realy..... someone raised a point of concern and instead of addressing it constructively, youve just accused me a host of things and then dismissed it.
THIS WAS NOT A PERSONAL ATTACK, and yet your response it to tell me I judge people too quickly, and that I'm a host hater and I dont treat people fairly. Fantastic.
This was not instigated by one specific event, but is an observation of several events and the reactions they received on the FORUMS. I wanted some thoughts and discussions on how we can have more clarity on the issues that have been unfolding over the last fews days and how..... oh you know what forget.
I already know what the response will be.......

I like it in chat but we all know improvements need to be made. I would have liked to help steer those improvements, but I'm not gonna bother if every time I open my mouth you all try and make me look like a pleb.
