You need your system recovery disk which you get when you buy a new laptop or computer. If the computer like mine is custom built you get it with your motherboard...

Use this to recover your system and then re-format and install windows again...

If you don't have the system recovery disk then you should (but don't quote me) find it on the internet maybe...

Hope this helps

Karl

Hi there

Are you re-installing windows im asuming you are cos thats what u need to do ? if so are you using the xp disk, if not then thats what you need or you could as karl has said do a recovery, if you have the disks or there might be some menu on startup when ur pc boots to select an option to re-install windows.

If it's a corrupt or missing file then windows won't re-install untill it's replaced so you'll have to do the system recovery disk first...

Is the XP disc you're using maybe an 'OEM' disc supplied for another computer?
