If you go to the PC Advisor Magazine website, they are usually pretty good at suggesting laptops for different budgets. Personally, i would stay clear of any Dell ones, but thats only because mine is a rust bucket of crap.

I brought a advent 6551 recently and it does the job and serving me well it was 3 hundred quid at time 17 inch built in cam and got all the new features etc etc got it from pc world hope this helps!
