cubase 5 and some old keyboard

OMG im going insane(r)!

i cant figure out how to define my old keyboard to use it PROPERLY with cubase5.

i select a particular voice and have the input and output out of the keyboard but as soon as i go on to the next midi track all the effects hav disappeared and im left with a basic piano sound.

so i need to define my keyboard (a yamaha EZ-30 i got off my granddad!) cos it aint on the list.
but im not sure what settings i gotta define?

took me 3 hours just to figure out how to get any sound at all! **** this im off to play call of duty
