Chatting or Cheating

As there has been a recent thread on "is txt'ing cheating" thought i would find out people's views on the subject of online chatting.

Can chatting on the internet regardless of the content (pm chatting, ********, i love you's) ever be considered cheating.

Personally, as long as it stays as a text chat window on a computer screen, i couldn't ever consider it cheating.

If you do consider that type of intimate chat cheating or morally wrong, at what point is it ok and not ok.

personally if u are in a relationship an u are havin *** tex either on a fone or in a chat room m s n wiv sum 1 other than your partner then its cheatin pure an simple..any 1 who thinks it is not does not in my view have any morals or respect for their partner..as its mental tourture..to think so low of your partner that u need to have *** tex wiv sum 1 else is really wrong..where is the respect for your relationship..and your partner..if u are single an the other person you are texin is single then no problem but if not..its wrong..jus my view..

my view is if youre having text *** or chat room *** and you have a partner then ure cheating if *** is on ure mind who says its gonny stop at the comp
and does youre partner know what you get up to on the comp if you havent told them then maybe you know the answer already ure cheating
now if youre single then you cant hurt no one can you , just my view

i personally think that the internet is a fantasy world, it gives an illussion of reallity, it gives some comfort, others some connection, so as i previously asked about ********, is it real, i don't think so it is only an illussion which can be terminated when u like. is it cheating? that u only know if u are hiding it from yr partner. like anything in this world for each one there is a right and a wrong. if u feel comfortable go ahead if u don't stop||

at the end of the day, on here it dont matter coz it aint a dating site and the mongs that are after that are clearly abusing what it is

tbh i have been coming in here for nrly 3 yrs now and i see it happening. People start of chatting and having a laff and then it starts to progress a bit deeper and they talk in pm then its on the "other" and them its mobiles. This is all irresepctive of whether any of them are attached. It will happen it always does. People are needy and will always look to hear stuff from other people that they dont hear at home from their partners and it makes them think the other online person is their "soulmate"

I dont doubt some ppl do meet online and end up "happy ever after" but i have seen more ppl being hurt than being happy

I dont pm at all and the simple reason is i dont want my man or anyone else to think that i am up to anything or that they could take my "friend" status any further than WOC.

I reckon if u have to say things in private to sum1 then ur up to no good

if your in a relationship then you shouldnt have relationships of a ***ual nature with anyone else
be it physical or typing on a keyboard
its that simple
