I miss woolworths aleady

So i only worked at woolies for just over 3 months, but ive allways been a shopper at our ex local store for the last 33 years and my mother and her mother, we dont have much choice in the town so woolies was our main store for toys.
Dave my fella was looking on ebay tonight at what was 4 sale from the woolies range, loads of bits i took for granted like tags and stickers.. even the bar codes for the items, its gutting to see it, ffs i still have my gloves that smell of the pick and mix in my hand bag, i dont have the heart the to bin um.
Im shocked at how memebers ex memebers of staff are selling there name badges..i was proud to wear mine and if i hadnt had mine nicked off my shirt i would have kept it for ever.. so if any one comes across a michelle name badge let me no..lol
We have loads of woolworths things in our house unopend but they are for birthdays and daves grand daughter for when she arrives, it saddens me to look at them tho, when i see the ladybird lable it brings a tear to my eyes.
Sorry 4 yabbing but i thought id share my sadness with you. lol
It must have left a deap hole in my life for me to be this sad over a store and a job.

awww hun sorry but i didnt really go into it at all.

Though i do have to admit that since there were so many of them, esp in edinburgh. its downright depressing to see all the empty store fronts which are boarded up after the closing down sales.

Lets face it, the way things are going atm means we are only going to see more and more of the like.

The countries 'elite' seemed to be even enjoying digging this economic grave while it pretended for so long it was a pretty pretty rosebed fs

Awe betty, so sorry to hear that, i'll miss it too not as much as you though, im just wondering what they are going to do with the building in our town its bloody massive!!!

aww it aint the same without woolies its just always been there. i loved going round with the kids to spend their pocket money on toys and cds games etc.whats the world comin too
