Default Does anyone know............

We all know there are opposites, black-white , day-night , good-bad etc , but does anyone know what the opposite of the word 'opposite' is ?????. I have asked several people , and know one seems to know !!!!!
A mate of mine swears it is 'closer' but I think the opossite of that is 'further'. Anyone out there have any ideas ???!!!

Hehe,
good one, the opposite of opposite is "same" as there would be no change. it cancels itself out.

Lol, different is probably the most unapt word you could use... as the opposit to oposite is exaclty the same not different.

The opposite to black is white, the opposite to white is black, exactly the same as you started with.
