Default Femoroacetabular impingement

Hi All,

I've just been diagnosed with femoroacetabular impingement (FAI) following an MRI scan of pelvis after having had hip pain for almost 10years. I've been referred to an orthopaedic surgeon at a neighbouring hospital to where I live who spe******es in younger person's hip problems.

Does anyone have any idea what this condition is and what I can expect in terms of treatment options. My GP had suggested that I will probably require surgery.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! x

femora - acetabular impingement.... this is tearing of the ligaments that connect the femur and the hip/pelvis. Massage therapy accompanied with physical therapy can assist in mending. If too damaged, use massage therapy to prepare the rest of the muscles and bones for surgery. Follow surgery with physical therapy and massage therapy together for quicker recovery.
