waiting rooms

What is it about hospital waiting rooms , or even doctors or dentists waiting rooms for that matter.
was looking forward to the quizz in the lounge last night , after being away for a week.
So had a nice shower at 8 last night , then as i was walking down the stairs in me new slippers , i went faster than i intended.
slipped all the way down to the bottom.
ended up in the hospital AE was there for bloody hours.
there were no end of drunks there after there night on the town, what plonkers they made of themselves.
it must really pish the nurses and doctors of to see these drunken peeps get in the state they do.
one silly sod had to be taken away cos he refused to be helped got really nasty.
the police helped that silly sod in the end , was gunna bring the dude back once he calmed down and soberd up.
theres nout worse then just sitting round and waiting to be called.
ended up with xrays , badly bruised my lower bk , sprained my right arm , and got a nice lump on me crust.
Iwont be wearing slippers down the stairs again.
Gwad i feel stiff as card board now, thank gwad for pain killers.
And who feels like reading some tatty ole magazine in a waiting room, it was more entertaining to see the drunken buggers make idiots of themselves.
Anyone else had a gd or bad expeirience in a waiting room.

awwwwwwwwwww Queenie hun .... slippers can kill yano..... i seen summat about it on GMTV a few months back that most accidents in the home are caused by slippers !!!!

Not sure i can say i have had any experiences in a waiting room lol .... i tend to sit there fumin cos i hate having to queue..... the thing taht really bugs me tho is kids running riot whilst there parents dont give a toss !!

queen hope ya feelin better from your trip the one down the stairs ha ha ha no seriously ive fallen down stairs due to slippers an yes it hurts now i dont have stairs thank fook so hope ya recover soon xxx

Get well soon, queenie. Rest is best! As for waiting rooms, I have a list for the doctor when I visit. If I wait a long time, then I make the visit worth my while! The worst time was when I was in labor with 2nd child. The nurse told me to stop by the office before going to the hospital when I called about contractions lasting 1 minute and 5 mins apart. My coworker drove me. We sat there for nearly an hour!! Contractions became 90 secs. long and 3 mins apart. When my coworker went to ask about just going to the hospital, the receptionist said the nurse would be with us in a minute. My coworker yelled (with a waiting room full of expectant mothers) "After waiting here for an hour, one more minute and she will have the baby in this room!" A nurse came out immediately to calm us, but rushed us to hospital across the street instead. We got to the delivery room and within 45 minutes my child was born!! From the time I got there, I told the delivery nurse to get the doctor, the baby is coming. She kept telling me I was wrong. Another nurse came in briefly, took a glance and stated "I see hair!" It was the baby's head she saw. The doctor didn't have time to don a gown or mask, only one glove

Best place to go for peace and quiet though lol
