Just to let ya all know after my posting random bits about jacob and bone marrow appeals , they have found 100% match 4 him. So a huge thank you to all who went on the list and did all you could to help. xxx

aww thats brilliant news....
im a big believer in giving blood is sooo easy and rewarding and u dont know whos life ur saving...my mum is walking about with her gold badge she got for giving 50 pints over the years...she is so proud...

ur allowed to give blood 12 months after a transfusion. I think !! lol

betty its been a pleasure because after your post i hadnt even thought of giving blood, but since, i have and hope one day it might do someone some good. i used to have the thought, like everyone else of 'it wont happen to me' but i hadnt realised that blood donors had kept my mum alive for an extra week after her brain hemhorage. thanks hun, and i for one will be the first in the queue to give blood next time the van come to my area xxxxx
