It's not a question about where you live
![]() What I mean is, how did humans, as we see them today, appear on this planet? There seem to be two major options. 1 ... God did it. He made the planet and then, a bit later, added some chap called Adam and then used one of his ribs to make another humanoid called Eve. They had 3 sons who went and got themselves some women (where from??) to start populating the planet. 2 ... There was a big BANG. This big bang was an explosion of some kind which happened a long time ago. Scientists say that because of this explosion, galaxies, stars and planets were formed. In our particular, galaxy, on our particular star and on our particular planet which is revolving around that star, the exact conditions needed to create live were found and made use of by Mother Nature. Now, a few gazzillion years later, here we are. But there is another option. 3 ... Go with option 2 up until we get as far as ape-like creatures being able to walk upright. If you are a religious person, that's fine. You can simply say that the story of Creation in the Bible was just a way of telling the story to the thickies that lived in those times and not meant to be taken a literally as God made the Earth and all that was in it in 7 days. So we've got as far as Ape like creatures wandering about and this is where you need to suspend belief a little. Along comes a spaceship from a far distant planet. Lots of things happen while these chaps are here, maybe including experimentation of Artificial Insemination with the locals. Maybe some experiments that weren't quite so "artificial" if you get my drift. 50, a 100, or maybe even a 1000 years later, another spaceship arrives and the same kind of thing happens, and again, and again. Just think how many problems this would solve. Question ... Why have Negros got flatter noses than Nordic folk and why are they a different colour? Answer ... Different spaceships landed in different areas of the planet. Now, carry on asking yourself questions relating to the differences between Races of people on this planet and then ask if the answer could be the same as the answer to the first one. OK, Your turn. Where did we come from? Or is this to deep for a chat forum,

Forger .... It matters not a jot (no offence intended) what some scientist/expert says or writes on a subject.
Why let others tell us what to think? We have minds of our own to use. Pete ... I like that one. Let me throw another idea at you. Look at the big picture. In the night sky we have stars with planets going round them and we have planets with moons going round them. Now check out the little picture. We have atoms with a central core (star) with electrons (planets) and protons (moons) all whizzing around. How is what scientists tell us about the Big Bang any more believable than saying that every atom in every object on this Earth is a star and that some electrons and protons have infinitely smaller life on them than on planet Earth. How is what scientists tell us about the Big Bang any more believable than saying that WE are the life forms on an atom on some infinitely larger planet. Maybe we are an atom that makes up a bluebottle's nostril hair. How important, as a species, do we feel NOW?

We do have minds of our own, however everything you just mentioned, atoms, protons, quarks, planets and moons revolving around stars, are not topics you could free think on if you didn't have the knowledge of what they are in the first place.
So although you think you are free thinking all of what you wrote was based on somebody else's knowledge. I love nothing better than to ponder the meaning of life, but i first have to have some knowledge about life to ponder on. As we are completely unique to our world and are the only intelligent, conscious free thinking species we know, it might just be that we are the most important thing in the universe and that we are not the atom on a bluebottles nose hair but actually the creator of the atom and the bluebottle and the universe that we seem to think we are so insignificant in.
