It doesn't matter which God you believe in and the question isn't meant to be mocking in any way no matter which religion you follow.
Is there anything in your Holy Book which gives any clue as to what your God did before the planet Earth was formed? Is there anywhere in a Holy scroll or text that says something like, "Yeah, before I made the planet Earth and all the trees and rabbits etc, I was a Twitcher but there were no birds to watch so I made some". I'm asking because a search of the Bible shows no evidence of any such information and that, to me, says that the very notion of a God figure came about after the world was created which kind of knocks the idea that a God figure built the planet in the first place. Any thoughts? Cheers m'dears, Stevie |

Not meaning and disrespect to any religious folk but here is a question that I have never been able to get a sensible answer to. The usual answer I get is, " If you have Faith, you know"
The question is, "Which parts of the Bible are meant to be taken as absolute truths and which parts are meant to be dumbed down so that we can understand them." For example, if you query the idea that God created 2 people, Adam and Eve and they had 3 sons. There is no mention of God making any more people and yet the boys went out and got wives. Where from? The general answer is that the Garden of Eden story isn't to be taken literally and that there were other communities in the area. HELLO!!!! .... Who made THEM? But you will only understand this if you have Faith .... or so they say. Personally, I don't get it. |

lol
the short answer is: who knows? science's best guess tells us we evolved from primate like creatures. so you have to take the adam & eve story figuratively. just got to use the knowledge available to you in order to make your mind up. like you say, most christians dont have an answer. they're happy enough to just believe in god and just go along with what ever their preachers ideas are. but then saying that im happy enough to just believe in god. ooh! i did see a scientific explanation of those 7? plagues of egypt which was pretty good. u know frogs, turn the nile red all of those. |
