Before the uprising I would have said Egypt, we were there for two weeks in December. 5* all inclusive on the beach. Whilst Britain froze it was 32c in the day and 26c at night. One of the best holidays we've had, tragically it turned out to be her last.
Although it's a bit cold there at the moment, I remember we were sitting in a bar on the beach in Kafalonia (where Captain Correlli's mandolin was filmed) drinking wine and watching the sun go down, better than any Valentine card. |

Anywhere warm (not too hot - 35- 40 degrees max!) with a view of the sea, some shade for an afternoon siesta, plenty of people watching opportunities, a ban from making idle chit chat until the hours of darkness, a ready supply of barcardi and lot of trashy books. But, if you were wanting to know a specific place - Fiji!

We were considering Fiji or some other island around there, but after 4-5 hours on a plane I've had enough. |
