Thumbs up P&G and Unilever scam

i guess most people have heard about their cartel, along with some german company, price fixing ariel and persil washing up powders to effectively rob their customers?

the absolute least we can do is make a conscience effort to avoid their products.
but thats alot harder than it sounds as they own alot of brands.

so i just sent a few emails through their website asking them what plans they have to reimburse their customers.
i suggested a free box of washing powder for all! (jokingly)

i doubt they'll do anything unless enough public pressure is put onto them.

but anyway thats never gonna happen.....

SOOOOOOOO...........
What would you like to see them do to show their goodwill?

I think there are some more pressing issues apart from price fixing of washing powders etc. Such practices have been in place since biblical times (obviously not by major international companies such as Unilever), but people should protest it if they feel so strongly about it. Personally I feel price fixing by major drug companies is morally more abhorrent than price fixing of cleaning products. In fact, we could probably spend 24/7 protesting about something, but then what would we all talk about in pubs and on WOC?, lol.

I think your right, nobody cares cos nobody can do anything about it. Why worry over things that are out of your control.

Wink

because its not out of our control.
we just let it slip away.

now for some disturbing but true stuff:
i think the only thing these companies take seriously are:

threats of violence,
after at least one threat of voilence has been followed through with actual violence.
violence on the companies customers is much harder to prevent than diect violence to executives and such.
but who wants to bomb innocent people? not me.

anyway whatever im just rambling cos i saw some thing on TV about the tesco bomber from like 10years ago.

the way i see it, all the blackmailers trying to extract cash from big companies tried to do it for self gain.
thats why they messed it up.

lol i better not get arrested

got a reply today.

Dear Thomas,

Thank you for your recent email.

The European Commission’s decision was all about a move some years ago to give consumers the same number of washes, using less, more concentrated washing powder and less packaging. This was aimed at producing a real benefit to the environment, by reducing the chemicals and packaging in detergents.

This move was entirely legal, but the Commission found that some of the discussions between companies involved in making the changes went too far.

Unilever does not intend to offer compensation or other redress to consumers as the Commission did not conclude that prices increased as a result of the mistakes made. In any event, Unilever had no control over the prices that retailers charged consumers for related detergents.

Kind regards,
