now that the greek parliament have voted for the new austerity measures whats gonna happen?

its so interesting!

will the greeks begrudgingly get on with it?
will there be continued strikes and demonstrations?
have they lost faith in democracy?

man, i need to start studying history some more!
what would happen if the mob stormed parliament and chopped the politicians heads off?
what new system could take democracies place?
or would they just refine their democracy?

i once read about one of the 1st democries and it was either greece or crete or something that had a system where their equivalent of a parliament was populated by ordinary people chosen at random (?) and regularly rotated.
kinda like our jury system i guess (WHICH, i think, ACTUALLY HAS A SUBTLE WEEDING OUT PROCESS!!!)*
****ing hell its hard to stick to one subject!!!!

*they overbook. then ask people they deem a less responsible member of society whether or not they want to do jury duty.
most people they ask say no......probably lol. thats from the 3 guys i know who have been selected for jury duty. 1 was unemployed, 1 was a factory worker & the other was MD for a small-medium sized company.
