Selling your old bling
Noting that gold was at record levels, I decided it might be a good idea to get rid of some of my old jewellery. The continual mickey taking by my wife and kids was wearing me out and I reckoned that with the cash, a new set of clubs could be the order of the day. After overcoming the shock realisation that I had actually worn this stuff and deluded myself that I looked the business, I sent it off to a firm in Bournemouth. The following day a young lady called with an "offer" The were prepared to offer me £94 for 22gm 18k gold. A quick check on the net had valued the gold at £700 for 22gm of 22k, which is what it was.
Naturally, I declined and requested my jewellery back shortly thereafter a Customer Service lady who should be a snake oil saleswomen appologised for the errror and after much debate I was offered an agreeable ammount.
Beware, they are there to take advantage of you, had I been desperat and not checked they would have made a lot of money.
