my mate (23yr old fat alcoholic) stayed over one of my other friends house on saturday for a party untill about 1pm on the sunday when they kinda said he had overstayed his welcome.
so he took offence and stole a bottle of wine and started to walk home (5miles away) he almost made it about a mile and a half out of town before falling asleep on the side of the road. someone called an abulance and the ambulance took him home. he thinks its funny. i would think its funny if i saw it on tv or read about it. but he's doing this retarded **** all the time! has anyone here had a ****ed up friend and managed to convince them they r a total mess? i dont want the responsibility of sorting him out! that would mean id have to find things to do with him (that dont include getting drunk) AND THEY ALL COST ME MONEY! i cant afford to help him. what would you do? |

I have a friend who since he was 2 he has suffered from epilepsy and he is supposed to take tablets to help stop seisures, Anyway about 8 years ago he started drinking mainly 4 to 8 cans of lager a day this went on and on until around april this year when he had 2 massive epileptic fit right in front of me in the middle of our local town centre, Which he ended up in hospital for close to a month. According to the doctor treating him it was a direct result of to much booze and he was told if he does'nt stop he will not see his next birthday. So i sat him down and almost forced him to go to one of the acoholics anon places i told him if he did not go i would give up and he would be on his own. Well he went and i personally thought that he could start to see the error of his ways, But no he is now back on the booze and not just lager now its vodka, whiskey and other assorted spirits. To look at him you can immeidiatley see that his liver is done he is quite litteraly turning yellow. And i dont think anything can be done. if your mate values you friendship he may listen to you and change his ways. But from personal experience its like talking to a brick wall but i keep trying its all i can do.
