R-A-C study 23.5.12
times are hard, a fall in the book of face, (facebook shares fall) this will not deter, even while driving they will trace. people and phones stick, it is a addiction, "my phone is going", excuse me for this contradiction. work is always with us, 24-7 and its mobile, people and this mentality, are audience and fans of Jeremy Vile. should health and safety enter, on all mobiles put a warning, do people need to be told, is this topic so yawning. think about it and tell me, i am just on the M25 in a tale-back, and when i get out from all this rumble, guilt,me and my phone will get on track. |

I was going to put my views forward on this subject, but I don't want to upset all those perfect drivers out there.

Oh alright then if you insist, it's nice to know you value my judgement on these matters. So quite possibly yes then, mobile phones are a distraction and cause some accidents, but not all of course. As I have been a professional driver since the late 70's, I have to say that the quality of driving on our roads isn't that bad after all, considering how congested the roads are. I had a few accidents when I was a lot younger, but not because of mobile phones though, as they weren't around back then. Those accidents were due to lack of concentration, thinking about what job I was going to be doing next, instead of concentrating on the driving. I am sure a lot more accidents are caused by lack of concentration, impatience, poor anticipation, driving aggressively, tiredness and boredom, driving to close to the car in front, etc etc, we are only human after all. Driving is all about experience, so the more experienced driver you are, the older you tend to be, and the less accidents you should have, because you will have taught yourself defensive driving from all that experience. However there are always a few exceptions to the rule of course, some drivers are just naturally safe and careful drivers from the start.
