Yes it was rather warm here to, I'm hoping we'll get some decent thunderstorms this summer, they are long over due

Yes you do get some lovely weather up there don't you, plenty of rain and wind mixed in with a dash of sun. Come the winter, plenty of snow and ice, mixed in with gale force winds just to keep you happy. Putting that aside though, you have some lovely countryside, and nice areas isolated free from the harmful effects of urban civilisation. Not forgetting of course, sometimes when the conditions are right and the night sky is clear, a good view of the Aurora Borealis. I saw the Aurora myself about 30 years ago, which was well south of your location, quite an amazing sight to see. If I remember rightly it was during May one year, when I saw the Aurora over a few consecutive nights, at about 1 am in the morning looking towards the northern horizon. They were so bright, you could some clouds below, which were quite sureal looking
