Default litter in parks - are there enough bins ?

litter in parks - bins and dog mess bins 28.5.12

27 degrees is hot,
a real sizzler,
lets go get some cold larger,
tobacco, food and rizla.
its nice on the heath,
Hampstead is a green paradise,
but it is being ruined,
George Michael "litter bug" is dissected and diced. ( Jitter Bug )
why are bins over flowing,
surely the COL are failing,
get them emptied and put more,
then its plain sailing.
it made me laugh,
when the dog toilet bins were rammed,
because most don't want to litter,
the person to empty it must feel slammed.
put more bins on Hampstead Heath,
its not rocket science,
remove the dog waste ones,
the square open ones will work in alliance.
on days of heat,
use a bit of brain power,
like on the school field and the temporary bins,
put more everywhere and the Heath will all round flower.

( i am not sure what i am trying to say with this, but there is a problem if dog mess bins are being filled with normal litter. my suggestion would be increase the amount of bins in parks and make there be no excuse for dropping litter and take away the dog mess bins as no one uses them anyway, as they are dirty and smelly and no one wants to touch something that has mess in it and let people drop the all rubish in the ope air square bins that are up there but like i say - put more of them all over the place. but what do you think ? is there enough bins - should you be allowed to drop the dog mess in the normal bins or are there to many bins and we need to reduce ? i really dont no now ?)

Red face

Obviosly there are health hazards associated with dogs mess, and we have now moved on a bit since dogs bins were first introduced into parks. The best thing to do, is to cordon off an area of Hampstead Heath just for dog walkers only, and keep the rest of Hampsted Heath for non dog walkers. That way you get rid of all those foul smelling dog mess bins, and have more room for ordinary rubbish bins. Gee..... how did we ever manage all that dogs mess in parks back in my younger days..... oh yes that's right, you tended to be very carefull about where you sat down on a beautifully warm summers day.

Yes that's one way of doing it, there's plenty of space on Hampstead Heath for rockets. Failing that, probably another approach could be a large cesspit, which would be looked after by the council.
