In the early hours of this morning in the Maternity Unit of *****Pet General Hospital, Beryl the Peril gave birth to a beautiful bouncing baby boy. Father, Cavepet was by her side throughout the difficult delivery.

Details of the birth has been entered in the offical *****Pet Register of Births, Marriages and Deaths as follows:

Confused father Cavepet told reporter Verbyllis Waffle that Tantō 短刀 takes after his Arachnid mother and bears no resemblance whatsoever to his own Dragon parentage. Verbyllis Waffle asked Cavepet whether he was indeed the lad's father to which Cavepet sadly shook his head and commented:

"How can he be? I'm a Dragon and he has absolutely no Dragon features whatsover".

Flustered Nurses who had assisted at the birth were also interviewed by Verbyllis Waffle told how an argument had commenced the moment the lad was born and a distraught Beryl the Peril started crying as she tried to convince horrified and shocked Cavepet he truely was the baby's father.

Ward Sister Vinegar**** Spinister stated that:

"Cavepet refused to accept his new son and flew out of the hospital entrance fire breathing in rage, severely injuring night porter Snoozles Ladybones as he passed, muttering "I'll find whose the daddy"."

Distraught mother Beryl the Peril decided that to save her relationship with Cavepet she had no alternative but to give her new baby son away.

When asked by reporter Verbyllis Waffle the fate of the abandoned baby boy, Ward Sister Vinegar**** Spinister concluded the whole sorry saga by saying:

"Mischa, a new member who'd only recently moved into World of Chat a couple days ago was urgently contacted by Ms Inyaferris Populus, the hospital's outreach worker and member of the WOC Reallocation *****Pet Social Worker Team. On hearing the distressing story, Mischa agreed to take on the role of 'Owner' Mother to the abandoned baby. On arrival at the hospital she was given the necessary papers to sign and called upon a Mrs Overall a passing tea lady in the corridor, moonlighting from Acorn Antiques to act as witness, making Mischa, Tantō 短刀's legal 'Owner".

Mischa was last seen leaving the hospital with her newly acquired baby son cradled in her arms heading in the direction of the Market Place.

An anonymous hand written message was left at Reception of *****pet Chronical earlier this afternoon offering an exclusive concerning the true paternal origin of Mischa's newly acquired adopted baby son in exchange for an undisclosed sum of money.

Intrepid reporter Verbyllis Waffle attempted to contact the birth mother Beryl the Peril but was confronted with a tearful denial she was responsible and still maintains Cavepet is indeed the child's father.

Staff within Verbyllis Waffle's team have drawn up a list of individuals they wish to interview, including Beryl the Peril's Owner, Shazzababie and ex-boyfriends of Beryl the Peril.

The CSA are meanwhile trying to track down the whereabouts of Cavepet with the help of Jeremy Kyle who has generously offered to do a free DNA test on Cavepet and baby Tantō 短刀 as well as a Lie Detector Test on Beryl the Peril. Graham, the popular talk show's resident Psychotherapist will be available should Beryl the Peril's result show that Cavepet is NOT the father.

It has just been confirmed that Mischa, baby Tantō 短刀's new 'Owner' whom reporter Verbyllis Waffle met earlier in the Market Place today for a Cappuccino and Marmite Sandwich that she has indeed purchased another Egg despite all the current problems surrounding her newly adopted son.
