Def friend I had one for 15 years and she was a honey. They get a terrible rep and its not fair. Its the way you treat and bring them up thats important. Great dogs, so loving and loyal and brill with kids. Thumbs up for Staffies from me!

I couldn't agree more Snowcat there almost human,my sons staff will think nothing of climbing into the sparebed and sleeping in an identical position as a human.

Staffies aren't working dogs you muppet. They were specifically bred for fighting. However, they actually have a fantastic temperament and make ideal pets. Some can have a dominant nature, part of their genetic make up, but if shown leadership by an assertive owner, they are brilliant. A dog only ever reacts. It's stupid ignorant humans who make bad and aggressive dogs by not having a clue what they're doing as handlers.

If the dog go`s in the head then it dont matter the breed or the owner or how much it was loved.

Am not used to having a dog as a pet, i will find it hard to look at them like that now after seeing them as working dogs no matter the breed.

I thought this forum was for the online virtual pets discussion ???
