erm scuse my ignorance but i dont think the public are paying for it unless they are interested. The TV licence is done via the BBC all other channels are funded via adverts etc by companies. The only way the public fund big bro is in the phone in votes and if ppl wanna do that then they obviously enjoy the programme and want to participate
