the lovely bones
what a strange title for a movie...
anyway i watched it the other night on TV with my brother. i quite liked it! i missed the 1st 10mins but up untill the murder it all seemed to be some girly crap so i doubt i missed much. like i said i liked it and the only bit i didn't like was where she pretty much possesses some girl and kisses her crush. WTF!? the guy wasnt weirded out by it one bit!!! that was stupid and it also kinda went back on the theme of the movie, which was to let go and move on. (wasnt it?) my brother didn't like it and was pretty angry by the end! i couldn't tell if it was because of his militant atheist theology or just because he couldn't understand the younger sisters decision at the end (she looked older to me) also he was not satisfied with how the murderer's story ends. i guess he just thought it was cheap. overall i think it could of been better and some bits were just stupid but i liked visuals, especially the scream where she disintegrates. also yeah its quite sad thinking about dead little girls lol so at least it made me feel something! id give it 7/10.

i read the book - it was crap
i watched half the movie - it was crap so i put it off soz hun not my cup of tea x

I went to see this in the cinema because my sisters wanted to and I thought "hmm Peter Jackson, should be quite good". I HATED it. I'm a big reader and hadn't actually came across the book before so my opinion was based completely on the film itself and none of the "the book was better" (even though that is usually the case), in other words, I wasn't comparing it to the book. Was very disappointed

I didn't read the book but saw the film when it was first released. The storyline is pretty thin, but the cinematography was interesting - very Peter Jackson. I certainly won't be going to see "One Day" when it comes out. The book was great but Anne Hathaway as the heroine? No, no, no, no!
