racism on TV

i write up stupid & silly comedy sketches that i think of while im day dreaming at work.
i just wrote one now and it requires a man on the phone to be racist towards a call centre worker.
then theres a joke.
the end.

the joke itself isnt racist at all but it needs a racist in it.

anyway: how much racism is an acceptable amount on tv?

i saw a comedy the other day about some indian guy trying to start an all english shabbati (?) team and he's white working class mate was being quite racist towards him.
i guess that was deemed acceptable because the whole comedy centered on the indian guy.
