Great Expectations

Watched the first episode of Great Expectations last night and it was great, much better that Downtown Abbey where after 8-10 years on none of the characters have aged!

southparks version is my favourite.
it starts with malcolm mcdowell sat in a chair by a fireplace reading to us from the book great expectations.

Pip gets a job at the Havisham Estate where he meets Estella. She only spurns his optimism with insults. When Pip is offered the opportunity to become a gentleman he goes to London only to discover that Miss Havisham plans to break his heart. Her plan is to use Pip's tears to power her Genesis device that will allow her to gain revenge on all men.
oh and robot monkey's are involved.
