ok then seeing as you refuse to read past posts here's a timeline for you:

snowflake sez:
"In my eyes all religion does is cause wars , which means innocent people die. (wheres god when childeren are been killed ?)"

so i say:
as for religion starting wars i think those days, on the most part are over. D.J.B. Trim a professor of history at the University of Reading writes:"By the middle years of the eighteenth century, then, both international relations and international conflict had largely been secularized. The late eighteenth century was to be the era of international revolution and for the 200 years thereafter, the Western powers were to fight for nationalistic and secular-ideological reasons. They created empires that spanned the globe and spread the notion that this was why wars ought to be waged; they forgot that, for some 300 years, religious war had been an integral part of the experience of Christendom. Only chauvinism made Westerners blind to the fact that, globally, many people still regarded the political process as not being inherently secular. The events of September 11, 2001, were not only a reminder of realities in most of the world, but also a reminder of a largely forgotten era of Western history."

basically ashley i agree with you

wars are mostly about money & power.

yeah you get tribal/religous conflicts but theyre normally enflamed by westerners.
the tutsis & the hutus are a prime example.

blaming religion on starting wars is, like you say, naive.

go back and read the rest of the posts if your still confused about where i stand on the matter
all fair points.

but can everyone be right?

there's always winners and losers and if not the game was pointless.
Yes everyone can be right as everyone has there own views . No ones a winner or loser as people have there own mind and beliefs .

And yes I agree that war is caused by many different things , money, power but religion is also to blame.

Like I said from teh start , people should be able to believe what they like .

yeah, everyone can't be right. its not possible lol

I think more likely is that is everyone is wrong (at least on somethings) . I doubt anyone is right about everything that comes to religion. And if they are, it will be like one person lmao

If God is as harsh as most religions say, then there will probably be like one person in heaven lmao

lol
ive always imagined an empty heaven.

i believe that no-one really knows what god wants.
just do what you feel is right.
if god dont like it then he can stick it.

but i think alot of people rather than actually do what they feel is right, do something and then convince themselves it was the right thing to do.
or in other words fitting their beliefs around their lifestyle.
which is kinda crazy.
