jehovah's witnesses

anybody here had any dealings with jehovah's witnesses before?
i always thought they seemed ok but had a few beliefs i disagree with, like no birthdays, no blood transfusions and the like.
the thing that i think makes them better christians than other sects, in my eyes, is the fact they actually go out and knock on doors telling people about what they believe in.
ive heard loads of bad stories about them from america which confuses me?
are jehovah's witnesses genuinely nice people, on the most part, with a slightly strange belief?
or are they just a cult like, i suppose, scientology?

I dont agree with some of there actions , Like not having blood transfusions.

But its there choice I guess . No one makes them be a JW . It what they want to believe.

I just dont think they should prech to others and try and make ppl think what they think . Everyone has there own minds and will follow which every religion (if any) they want to .

just googled preaching and got this.
"Just days before he died, Jesus declared that the Gospel will be preached throughout the entire world. It will be delivered to all the nations of the world before the world itself comes to an end. See Matthew 24:14. After Jesus rose from the dead, he commanded his disciples to share the Gospel. He said, "Go into all the world and preach the Gospel to all creatures." See Mark 16:15."

they try to spread their beliefs because the bible tells them to.

which makes me think why dont the other christians go out preaching?
i guess you get missionaries out in africa and stuff but i dont know much about them

they are creepers.

I don't preach because i don't like being preached to and i have better things to do.
If someone asks me i'll tell them what i believe in, i don't see how that makes me a worse christian

If someone wants to follow a religion , they should without having to be preched to .

it makes you a worse christian because your not doing what the bible is telling you to do.

why base your faith on some old book, and then just disregard it?

the funniest thing i see with christians is all the single mothers walking out of church.
they obviously disregarded the bibles opinions on *** before marriage.

but i don't base my religion on the bible, i don't think *** before marriage is any different to *** after marriage

what sect of christianity do you associate yourself with?
or are you a non denominational christian?

I go to church sometimes, but only because my mom and dad make me go basically. There are things in all sects of Christianity that i disagree with. I really only call myself Christian because out of all the religions it is the closest to what i believe unless i can find another one that is closer lol

That is an awful thing to say !

If a woman is single and has kids , whats that to anyone. ?
Does the bible/church judge people ? No wonder people dont follow religion.

And before you ask , NO im not a single mum , I dont have kids. But If I was . I would be a proud mum whether im single or not !

Im glad I dont follow any religion , as its not a religion , Its a cult .
