do you use public transport?
before i got my motorbike licence i was effectively trapped at home and having to rely on my parents for lifts into work. living in a rural area my 1st job was in cambridge, 12 miles from where i was living and i had to start at 7am. no bus was around for that. people that lived in haddenham (far)& wilburton(closer) had to walk to stretham to catch the bus into college at cambridge. my friend in wicken got a driving ban and had to bike into stretham to catch the bus for work into Ely. he moved into a house with some other friends in stretham to make things easier. pretty much the week after that stagecoach changed the time table and it meant my friend couldn't even catch a bus into work anymore and had to cycle to ely. basically public transport in rural areas is crap |

public transport is crap everywhere not just in the rural areas lol.... rural areas just don't have it, and in cities it stinks and is full of beings who need euthanasing. Total ming. When I lived in Leeds I'd pay a two way taxi fare every day rather than get on the bus full of scutters and obnoxious chavvy skanks. Nowadays I just ride my horse. LOL.

Yer, thats the problem of being rural! You're too far away from anywhere to make getting a taxi a viable option. When i paid taxi fares I lived in the city already so it was only a 10 minute journey and therefore affordable. Living where I do now I couldn't afford to do that.
Hooray for your motorbike! |
