**BIBLE STUFF ALERT**
before 'the loss of innocence' adam and eve sounded like mindless drones. (or whatever adam and eve represent)
god was angry once they formed the ability to choose right from wrong.
i like being able to think for myself.
i wonder if people in heaven will lose the ability to choose right from wrong and revert back to non-questioning cogs in gods kingdom.
what do you think? (everyone knows what athiests think...)

thinking right or wrong and doing right or wrong is a transition from psychological to physical. From what i can gather heaven is a spiritual place not a physical one so doing right or wrong is out without a physical presense. So i guess you can fill your your boots with as many impure thoughts or not as you see fit. Choice would be irrelevant as there would be no end to the means.

i like the idea jehovah's witnesses' have of an earthly paradise.
but the same question applies to that aswell!
would we all end up as nothing more than caretaker's for the planet and its creature's (like adam was supposed to be)
there must be time to persue personal endeavours or else i dont want to go!

Having eternity to live within your own thoughts does sound like hell not heaven. At least the jehova's would have something physical to hold onto lol.

i don't think God would have a heaven or hell, it just seems silly. It just seems to convenient that churches can use it to control people

i believe in God but not heaven or hell, it just seems impossible and not a very good idea. what is wrong with just dying?

Just dying would mean no point to living. In 2 generations we are forgotten and therefore our existence was nothing more than to perpetuate the species which in turn would have no point in exisiting. Why do we have Consciousness?,the ability to be aware of life and living and death and dying.
Wouldn't that be the cruelest joke of all, to know we exist and to embrace life for it all to be a waste of time and a pointless exercise in procreation.
As for heaven and hell, i think your right, it was just a control measure.

why do you care if you're remembered when you're dead lol? I'd rather be remembered when i'm alive

some old people live all by themselves all day for years and other people worry that no one will remember them 80 years after they die which is pointless

You hit the nail on the head, without the idea of eternal life or life after death,human existence would be completely pointless.
Of course you are remembered in your own lifetime, but as soon as you and everyone who knew you dies your existence is not known nor does it matter that you did exist.
Your life would have been pointless, meaningless and of no importance to anything. Of course you will be dead and won't know you ever existed either.

why do you want life to have a point to it? If you think about it, everything there is a point to is bad. There is a point in studying, getting a job or like having a baby and stuff, they're all boring things that you only do because there is a point in doing them

the things you do that there is no point in doing at all are all the good things that are fun and make you happy

Thus, greater meanings suck

there is a point to everything.......except circles.

also i want life after death or at least some form of justice to be served to all the ****s in the universe.
i feel guilty when enjoying myself as my joy is usually at the expense of some 3rd world kid.
just living my normal life is at the expense of smeone else.
lifes not fair.
i want a fair world.
hopefully life after death can provide that fair world for me
