[FONT=Calibri][SIZE=3]People know the rules, but are willing to forget about them when it suits them or when they feel the risk is worth taking. There will always be a problem with people exchanging info as its seen as the norm on most websites, we chose to try to change this and provide a safe place to chat, while some people tolerate this rule, it’s clear that a lot of people don’t actually believe in this and this is the attitude that needs to change, if you don’t believe in this rule, then you shouldn’t be here![/SIZE][/FONT]

[FONT=Calibri][SIZE=3]There are literally 1000s of websites out there for people to exchange personal details; we cannot understand why people don’t use these websites, if that is what people want to do, rather than spoiling our site[/SIZE][/FONT]

[FONT=Calibri][SIZE=3]People are doing what’s best for themselves without any consideration of others, I have seen many regular chatters go into newbie’s and make comments, such as full of nutters in newbie’s or words to that effect, I would like to remind you, you were all newbie’s once, how would you like it if people treated you like that ? the regular chatters have become clicky and its becomes difficult for new people to get involved.[/SIZE][/FONT]

[FONT=Calibri][SIZE=3]People also for the most part don’t contribute, that example is easy to point out, as soon as the chat room was closed, the forums came to life and Wocchat.com because more interesting, as people were literally forced into contributing, this needs to change, if you want a community you all have to contribute something, no matter how small, 5 mins a day on the forums anything.[/SIZE][/FONT]
[FONT=Calibri][SIZE=3]You need to each think of things that make the site interesting, we do our best as admin, but we can’t do everything, I cant think of anything that people have tried to do on our site[/SIZE][/FONT]

[SIZE=3][FONT=Calibri]There wouldn’t be any chat on a site like this there would be no hosts and admin wouldn’t appear in the room, rooms like this just usually just turns into people spamming the room with their email address , you wouldn’t have friends like you have now, because people wouldn’t be here, everyone would be on *** messenger, just coming back and forth to fill their contact lists, sounds great doesn’t it ?[/FONT][/SIZE]

[FONT=Calibri][SIZE=3]2) Or we could actually try to form a community, where people actually contribute, and not just rely on admin and hosts to do all the hard work, instead of people sitting back and taking an easy life people need to think of things to help the site grow and we are not talking about money or advertising here, we are talking about small things doesn’t have to be every day, just something once a week from a small group of people would help so much, nothing gives us more pleasure than to see people using the site for good things, I know your all thinking well what can we do, well I have no idea but isn’t that part of the fun thinking of new ways to make the chat interesting ? isn’t that would you do with your friends in the real world, think of ways to have fun together, why not do the same on here ? [FONT=Calibri][SIZE=3]The new people need to be encouraged, i accept that a lot new people are trouble and hard work, but for the most part, if people are given attention then and a small introduction to the site then they will respond and join in the site, It would be nice if each regular could at least try to make a concerted effort to befriend a few new people a day.[/SIZE][/FONT]

[FONT=Calibri][SIZE=3]None of this is meant to feel like being at work, that is not what we are asking here, we are asking for a change in attitudes on here, if each person took on board everything we have said in the last paragraph, imagine how more people will be in the chat room and imagine how many different things might be going off on the site, rather than just a room of new people and a room of regular people both separated! A place you can come to cheer yourself up after a hard day and have a laugh and relax without idiots pestering you for *** addresses or phone numbers.[/SIZE][/FONT]
[SIZE=3][FONT=Calibri]We are always trying to improve the site and the rules on this Woc we spend a lot of time and money making this site different to other chat sites and safety is very important to us , if you can’t give us a bit of respect and respect our rules then we don’t want you here. [FONT=Calibri][SIZE=3]It’s a basic simple chat room there’s nothing special about it, it’s a chat room not a contact site, not an email site and never will be, so if that’s what people are looking for just go elsewhere as when someone breaks the rules it only lets everyone else down, those thoughts shouldn’t even be in your head if you’re a regular on here.[/SIZE][/FONT]

well thats wot i was tryin to get across yesterday but i cudnt find the words well sed indeed..i now wot i want to say but find it hard to put it on a page i try my best to help ppl on here as do sum of the other regs but i do see the point of wot ya sayin,, iv noticed clicks formin an i guess we all guilty of that at sum point..but i try to be fair wiv every1 an give every1 the respect that i wud want myself.. as u sed here an i sed yesterday this is all our site an we should get invloved instead of back bitin an moanin..im jus 1 guy wiv my own views but surely we can *** together for the sake of this place an start bein more positvie instead of puttin ppl down..iv sed it before an i will say it again its a great place its jus sum ppl need to leave the attitude at the door..i love messin wiv me home page an doin stuff in woc chat its so easy to use.. so maybe now u av spoke woccy ppl will get there thinkin caps on an stop moanin..thanks to u all tho..take it easy now..

i respect anyones point of view, even if i don't always agree with it myself. everyone is entitled to their own opinion, good or bad.
someone made the mistake of exchanging addys with another person. admitted they shud probably have known better, but u cant change what has already happened.
i have to agree with Mr Woc and dazz, instead of arguing among ourselves lets try and think of some ways to stop this happening again.
i joined this site because it was recommended to me by my good friend betty b. i was unsure at first as i had been on other sites and didnt like them or what they were about.
betty assured me that this site was different so i took the bull by the horns, so to speak, and took the plunge.
i have to admit that i do not use it as often as i would like to but when i do i feel safe in the knowledge that i'm not gonna get bombarded with pms requesting my addy.
i cant think of anything that will help right now but i will put my thinking cap on and see if i cant come up with an idea and when i do i will be sure to post my idea a.s.a.p.

Theres not much else to be added to that coz I completely agree and I do try my hardest to contribute I'll try harder in future xx

well mr.woc as u suggested,i went and checked out a couple off other sites,just for the experience and so i had something to compare to woc,i hav to say i now know how the newbies feel when they first go on to a site,on this site most ppl welcome u into the room,i was sat in a room for 20 mins without a hello,so i made an effort and tried to join in,wot a waste of time,there was a convo happening with just 3 ppl involved and no one else,yet there was at least 15 in the room,so i decided to try another site,after 10 mins of trying to get in the room,i found it was completely empty,so i then checked how many registered users they hav,and the list was rather long,so why arn't they in there chatting? it just makes u appreciate wot an excellent site we hav here,and although i always say hi to the newbies when they come in,i will be making more of an effort with them from now on.

i always say hi to the newbies and i was one once so i no wat its like sometimes i come in an say ello to alot of people and most do reply but there are some regs who just dont wanna talk to me or come to that any one of the newbies do they wanna say anything to them but i will chat to anyone an everyone im a chatter and if i can help newbies i will and if some do not read the rules i will point out it is not allowed and most always say sorry so if i can do more i will and i try not to say anything out of order apart from me music im a reggae nut and other music dont do nowt for me ha ha ha

I have used Woc for a while and now unless admin are in the room i dont even bother anymore cos i may as well be speaking to myself.

Ispend most of my time with the newbiesand altough it mainly after midnight our time, we have them in from canada ..peru and usa.. i have introduced games in there ..silly i know but its amazing how all of them join in .. Story lines seems to be a fav and goodness knows what lines people with think of next .but its good to cry with laughter at the sillyness.. We also have a waxing salon which makes me giigle especially when all you see in type is joe bloggs is running out the door.. more silly ness but the hours fly by and everyone has fun even the old regs who pop in for 10 mins then realise 2 hours has gone by.We were organising a dance class before the rooms were closed hahahaha we are doing the lambada.. Sounds impossible but believe me its not and its really good fun....it only takes a simple suggestion and people will join in and have fun and thats what its all about x
