[SIZE=3][COLOR=#444444]Admin have decided, after a lot of thought, to make some changes at World of Chat. This will affect everyone on our site.[/COLOR][/SIZE]

[SIZE=3][COLOR=#444444]Over the last few months Admin’s workload has reached paramount levels ensuring people stick to the rules. These rules, as we are sure you are aware, made World of Chat unique.[/COLOR][/SIZE]

[SIZE=3][COLOR=#444444]It appears that this strict enforcement of the rules has caused people to move away from the site and not return. It would appear that people do not want strict regulations, even though these rules were enforced for the benefit of everyone, from Admin’s many years of chatroom experience. [/COLOR][/SIZE]

[SIZE=3][COLOR=#444444]Chat rooms have changed dramatically since World of Chat’s conception over 4 years ago and with our current rules and we simply cannot compete with the unregulated sites.[/COLOR][/SIZE]

[SIZE=3][COLOR=#444444]Since these rules don't seem to be working for either Admin, regulars or new people we feel it’s time for change.[/COLOR][/SIZE]

[SIZE=3][COLOR=#444444]We have, therefore, decided to do away with most of the regulations regarding people exchanging details over our site. [/COLOR][/SIZE]

[COLOR=#444444][SIZE=3]We don't believe people appreciate the hard work that went on behind the scenes, banning people from this site for continual rule breaking and receiving little or no thanks for doing so. Indeed many people became quite aggressive. [/SIZE][/COLOR]

[SIZE=3][COLOR=#444444]We tried our best to keep the site as clean and safe as possible, to enforce the rules we created for the good of the site and the safety of our members but the time has come for change. [/COLOR][/SIZE]

[SIZE=3][COLOR=#444444]From now on people will be able to exchange details via [B]PRIVATE MESSAGES ONLY[/B], you are of course urged to use caution when doing so, for your safety. World of Chat will still constantly monitored.[/COLOR][/SIZE]

[COLOR=#444444][SIZE=3]We will NOT allow contact information to be displayed on any site pages. This can be easily stolen by spammers. [/SIZE][/COLOR]


[SIZE=3][COLOR=#444444]For the most part most people won’t notice many change as we have allowed the rooms to run like this for the last week or so. The main chat windows will still be kept clean, and the original rules still stand there. No contact information will be allowed on the main chat screen.[/COLOR][/SIZE]

[SIZE=3][B][COLOR=#444444]You may exchange details in private chat, over forum private message and in Wocchat messages, but remember, this is entirely at your own risk, once you have exchanged details with someone, we at World of Chat can, and will, do nothing if something happens once you have moved away from World of Chat. Who you give your contact information to is entirely your decision and entirely at your own risk. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED[/COLOR][/B][/SIZE]

[SIZE=3][B][COLOR=#444444]The main room will still be kept clean, no contact details, no URL’s on the main screen or this will still get you banned if you keep doing it![/COLOR][/B][/SIZE]

I joined this site because it was so different to all the other sites out there.
I believe that the rules you have had in place have benefitted the chatters and members and kept them safe from pervs, spamers and unwanted attention.
While I do personally believe that this site was very strict compared to ALL of the others on the net, I think it was a good thing.
I do however think that it is a good idea to let people swap instant messenger id's on here, or other details if they so wish.
I will be giving my details out to people when i've spent time getting to know them... I have made many friends in the short time I have been coming on this site, and I hope that that continues.
Keep up the good work that you are doing in admin... I know that the vast majority of the chatters enjoy the feeling of being safe while they talk, and if you didnt enforce the rules and ban the wierdos and pervs, a lot of the people who come onto this site would have left a long time ago.
Please never think that all of your hard work and effort goes un noticed, i can assure you it doesnt!!

well i respect the new rules all admin have done as i understand it was very hard for u all to try and stop ppl breaking the old rules but me 4 1 will not b giving any addys or info out in the near future i like it just the way it is. but i respect the ppl that r going to give there addys out as that is there choice
