travellers

Can someone define "Traveller"? Surely if you live on an ilegal site for seven years ,you are a squatter and should be evicted.

the guys on the news actually own the land! they just didnt have planning permission.

personally i think "travellers" or pikeys, as i call em, are ok when you talk to them one on one.
but you only need a small group of em and they think they can do what they like.
and you know what?
they pretty much can!
why?
because if they killed a local they can easily just bugger off to another plot.
if i killed one of them im ****ed! not only by the law but by the pikeys too!

thats why my cousin had to move to wales.

if you wanna stand up to em you can use the law...which will achieve **** all and waste half your life.
or you can get voilent. but you gotta be prepared to move or get extreme.

Sadly they are a protected species. I had a lad working on a site near Cambridge who asked the Travellers Welfare Officer (or some other daft title) why the council were paying for the hard standing for the caravan that he was working on, and the main road had huge holes in it?. I was promptly asked to remove him from site as his comments were discriminatory. As I had no other work other than with the Council, I had to lay him off. Ironically, at the back of the caravan site, on a public road, several un-taxed cars were parked.
My local council has just spent £1.2m on a temporary Travellers' Site!! but they are closing youth clubs. Think I will put a caravan in the garden and claim that it is my main residence ala Jjaqui Smith and become a Roman as they are now called-its all Tosh

kind of like how we are enabling smack heads to carry on living as they are by giving them methadone.

but you know what? complaining on a random chat site doesn't get much done.
write an angry letter to your MP!!!
i swear if more people could be bothered to do that it would be a good thing!

or join a web site like 38degrees and suggest a campaign idea.
