Some people in the chat room are always asking what antivirus software can I use to protect myself.

I have been lookin into some of the Virus Scanners that are on the market, there are some good free virus scanners out there with avast and avg being two of them so if you dont want to spend any money you could try those.

Norton 360 the new version of norton is also very good and very effective and proves to be better than nortons previous antivirus software, although of course this isnt free.

So you might want to give them a try and let me know how you get on.

Hi there

The latest news in chat at the moment is the iminent launch of the new lycos chat, I was fortunate enough to be one of the first to have a go at it, and i have to say its very pretty its called jubii world.

The only problems with it are that its very confusing and you also need a very good pc to run it lol, be interesting to see if lycos are going to charge for their extras on this site like they did their original lycos chat, which was of course rediculous lol !!!

Im sure it will get its fair share of chatters that follow the masses !!!

Hi all

It never suprises me the amount of people that come back to our chat room, so many people say our room is rubbish, throw a kiddy type strop and leave, It really makes no sense to come back !!

I do not enjoy the banning of kicked of people !

Its a serious problem that somone behind a computer can abuse someone with no reprecussions as these people wouldnt abuse somone in the same way in person.

Isps (Internet service providers) - are now more receptive to complaints about people abusing chat rooms, i have worked in the IT industry for many many years and have worked for some of these companys and we now have forged close relationships with some of these, they are now more sympathetic towards these problems.

There are some moves to protect people online, one suggestion was that everyone that signed up with an isp gets their own chat room name that is linked to their isp account making people more accountable.

This for chat room owners would be a godsend, but I cannot see this happening and i dont think this is Feasable !

Hi there

I have fixed some of the annoying bugs on woc, so now when u click full screen you no longer get ejector seated out of woc lol !! Should make chat a little less confusing, if anyone notices any problems please post them on the forums, as if i dont know about them i cant solve them.

We have also gone past 9,000 registered users on world of chat which is pretty good shame they aint all logged in at the same time isnt it.

Also some people have been having problems with the new pages it would be a good idea for people to clear their temp files and cookies, one thing some of you could try is to download ccleaner from http://www.ccleaner.com/ as this will get rid of lots of junk files from your pc and is a very good program i have found, dont say i never tell you lot anything lol.

Hi there

Since adding my new blog i have seen some people saying what the feck is a blog lol ?

Well a blog is similar to an online diary, but really you can do a blog about anything, your fave footy team, duck training anything !

The good thing about a blog is you can add anything media and pictures here is an example. it can be fun !!!

Some people have asked how they can help with woc, well this is one way you can help, all you need to do is register a blog via blogger.com and mention the gossip on world of chat on your blog it all helps !!!
