Yahoo Chat Rooms

There has been a number of changes within chat rooms over the years, with the disapearence of msn chat, it was left to lycos and yahoo to pick up the baton.
Unfortunatly yahoo seem to have taken their eye off the ball, and seem to have left their chat rooms to rot, as they have not changed them in years.
They also removed their ADULT ROOM feature where users could create their own rooms which was very popular with people especially in the US and UK, this was due to fears that children were accessing these chat rooms that were of an adult nature, i really dont see how removing these rooms will stop the problem to be honest
For most UK users you will need to download the US version of the messenger to have access to the chat rooms via their messenger, if you have the UK version of their messenger it will not automatically give you access.
The rooms used to be a good source of chat, but now are just full of bots (Robotic Chatters) that just spam the room with pointless urls, or more often than not porn urls, trying to get people to visit their site.
Yahoo did occationally used to go thru the rooms and ban the bots, so they would disapear for a short time, but they seem to have stopped doing this now, it seems they have given up on chat, it often makes me wonder if it would be easier for them to close the rooms, as there have been rumors for years that they might.
The only thing people can do, is complain to Yahoo chat, maybe they will do somthing about the bots then, but realistically i dont think they will do that as it would take a team of people to keep stopping the bots, as soon as you ban one another one will be created and introduced.
The only other option is a complete redesign, which would cost Yahoo a lot of money, so for the time being you are either going to have to put up with it, or find somwhere else to chat, vote with your feet, or your mouse lol, maybe yahoo will do somthing about their rooms if people stop going there altogether.
