Chat Room Fraud

I was browsing the net recently and found several articles about chat room fraud, so I thought i would have my say on the matter lol.
Chat room fraud was prevalent when msn chat was around, as chat rooms were at their peak then, chat room fraud tends to work in several ways, a few are subtle some not so subtle.
Here are a list of some of the popular chat room frauds that im sure still happen online, btw most of these frauds will seemingly be commited by female chatters, but you will probably find in most cases that the female who is chatting, is fake and also a male pretending to be female !
1) Chatter talks to chatter, who mentions that they will call you, but hasnt got any credit on their phone, if you purchase me some credit I will call you
Of course as soon as you buy some credit this person will disapear.
2) Chatter talks to chatter, who mentions they are stuck in a country and need help getting out of their country, please can you send me the money to get away
Of course chatter disapears when the money is sent
3) Chatter talks to chatter, for long periods of time, somtimes for over 6 months feeds the chatter a load of lies and works on the person, in the hope they can get the chatter to give them money. Even making out they will meet the person or even in some cases marry.
This is just a long con, in the hope on working on somone and convincing them the person is genuine.
There are lots of other cons, im sure you have all had the emails saying you have won the bulgarian lottery, which is amazing as you havent even entered it lol. Some so calis I dont even want to mention them.
Im sure you have all had the bank emails or building society, trying to get your personal details or your bank account details, banks never send out emails so just delete any emails like this.
The lesson is simple, if anyone asks you for money via a chat room then dont send any, under any circumstances !
