Aol Chat Rooms

Hi guys

Aol chat rooms used to be really popular a up until a few years ago, but it seems that aol have now closed their uk chat rooms, I have tried to find out why they have been closed but I haven’t had any luck.

It seems now the uk section of their site is now left to blogs and forums, which isn’t really suprising, as their uk chat rooms were a terrible, they were riddled with abuse, with no one there to moderate the rooms.

The US chat rooms still however remain open, but like yahoo chat rooms they have terrible problems with bots in them.

I wonder how long they will stay open for !

I wasn’t aware that UK AOL chat rooms were closed, although I happen a guess as to whom is responsible: a particular breed of arachnid, known as spiderpig or LadyJQ of old. She and her cohorts conveniently rustled up a petition, nuimbering more than the entire UK AOL subscriber populus.
    Ahem

There was a lack of users on their chat rooms anyhow, and there was too much abuse on there, with bots flooding the room, so I think they did the right thing closing them down to be honest, the flooders only got themselves to blame as they have no where to chat now !
