Hi there

We have seen some frustrations on the forums, by the lack of chat in the rooms lately, I think everyone shares the frustration of people entering the room and not saying anything.

I have labeled this chat room apathy, as that’s exactly what it is, it was nice to see people are just as fed up by this as the admin team, but there seems to be very few solutions to this problem, in fact if mentioned the problem seems to be exasperated by people searching for excuses to not do anything, which i find baffling.

So does anyone have any good ideas, other than just moaning ?

Hi there

 As some of you might have noticed i have added a few more games to the World of Chat forums, at http://worldofchat.co.uk/Forum/arcade.php

 The forums are now completely overhauled and all up to date with the latest versions, which makes everything quicker !

There are some new games on there now, including deal or no deal, pool games, chess and many many others.

 If people let me know the ones they don’t like I can take those off, or if anyone wants a game to be added please let me know.

Please don’t neglect the chat room, if you use the arcade, as we still need to get people in to chat !

Hi there

 As some of you might have noticed we now have a blogs section on our chat forums at http://worldofchat.co.uk/Forum/blog.php

If people want to help with World of Chat, then this is one way you can contribute, by filling in a daily blog, no matter how boring it may seem, it all helps the site, as it gives new people somthing new to read, that they might not see on other websites.

 So if you can all keep blogging as well as using the chat room that would be great !

Hi guys

 All the problems within world of chat are now resolved, our move to a new chat server was annoying, but it seems stable now and our service is better.

 Also the forum move was difficult as people have had to re-register, but I think you will all agree it looks better and is faster than it was before.

 So hopefully we can all chat better, and post on the forums better !

 The problems are slowly clearing up, the chat room profiles now work, so if you want to try them out for me and tell me if you have any problems.

 The rollovers telling the age sex and location of the person dont work just yet, but that should be sorted tommorow.

Hi guys

 The problem with people getting unknown error when logging into the chat room has been resolved.

 Also the arcade has been added back onto the forums http://worldofchat.co.uk/Forum/arcade.php

I have added a few games, I will put more on as the week goes on.

There are still a few issues, the profiles dont work properly yet and the rollovers in the chat room still not working, but they shouldnt be hard to solve.

Hopefully all will be back to normal in the chat room, and you will all be free to chat once more lol !

Hi guys

We still have problems with people getting unknown error, this is due to the upgrade in our forums, I am trying my best to get it sorted asap.

Unfortunatly merging forums and the chat room is a complex issue, so i appologise for all the problems, in the long run it will make the forums and chat room better than ever.

It just takes time im afraid, once ive got the username and password problems sorted, I can add the arcade again.

I would be interested to hear peoples feedback on the new forums layout, so please let me know.

Hi guys

First of all welcome to my new blog, which has been improved from the last blog I had.

Im sure some of you have noticed there have been lots of changes at world of chat over the last few days, most of which have gone to plan, there has been lots of work going on behind the scenes.

Gone are the old profiles, with the different options, it was felt we didnt need the old profiles anymore as not many people used all the features on there anyhow.

The arcade will return shortly, but I cant put the arcade on until the database is functioning properly.

We now have a blogs section on the forums, once you log in its at top left, we also have a new look on the forums, and there is also a statistics section at the bottom of the forums showing people who have logged in over the last 24 hours.

 There are many other features on the forums, im sure we will slowly discover them as time goes by.

Hopefully all will be restored back to normal very shortly and you can all settle back into the chat room, without the logging in problems.

Hi there guys

Im pretty sure our forums are going to be moved, which unfortunatly is going to mean a complete rebuild, as some of you might have noticed the forums keep having periods of when they are going slow, this is down to the people who provide the database for this forum.

The people who provide the service dont really care about our forums, they have made that pretty clear, so this has forced me to move them.

I have informed them i am moving (funny how the forums suddenly are working ok now isnt it !)

I have tryed everything i know to move all existing files, and it has proved impossible, and would only cause more problems in the long run.

What Does This Mean ?

Well for now nothing, and hopefully we will find a resolution to moving the forums over without any changes, i dont see this happening, as there is just too much information.

Likely outcome

The forums will be subject to a complete rebuild which would mean you would all have to re-register etc.

If i could do it any other way i assure you all i would.

Good Points

The good point about a complete rebuild, is the forums will be better than ever, and i can add more features and a better arcade.

Hi guys

I know some of you are still trying to get into the forums, all i can do is say sorry to people, as I have tryed my best to sort it, unfortunatly its out of my control.

I am going to have the move the forums onto a more reliable server, which is going to mean some disruption, im not sure what will happen to arcade scores either, but its gotta be done.

There are some forums on www.wocchat.com remember, so you can always post on there, if you want to use forums !
