I have now added an invitation tool to World of Chat, this tool is to enable people to invite people to World of Chat easily, without having to email people individually.

It takes advantage of Messenger programs like msn messenger and yahoo messenger, by letting people input their details into a login screen, then displaying their contacts on an online form, none of this information is logged to protect the users privacy.

Its really aimed at new users wishing to invite lots of people at once, to save people sending loads of the same emails to different people.

Its nice to post and not have anything to tell people about for a change, as things seem to have settled down in the chat room for now.

We have been working on trying to get the chat room busier, and making it more popular, so we hope to be adding some more content to the site soon.

Hi guys

I’m sure some of you are wondering what has happened to the Dj service that we had on World of Chat.  I thought I would post about this, just in case any kind of misleading rumours surface around this issue.

We have decided not to continue with our link up with Time2danceradio, this is not a reflection on their service, as we felt the DJ idea worked quite well within our chat rooms.

The issue we had with Time2danceradio is that we felt we were not getting a fair deal after all World of Chat is a business, we felt we had given many hits to Time2danceradio, and premium advertising spots to them, in return we only got one link that was placed at the bottom of their website and very few hits in return.

We did try to discuss this issue with the people at Time2danceradio we asked for better links on their website, this was refused and communications broke down, so we made the difficult decision to sever links with them.

We at World of Chat have no hard feelings about this, it just didn’t work out how we would have liked and both sites are clearly moving in different directions, so we wish them all the best with their website.

Hi Guys

As I have mentioned on the name and shame, anyone coming into the room and logging straight out, the next time they enter the chat room, they will be bounced !

You will be booted out once for everytime you bounce the rooms, until this practice stops, as its driving everyone mad, its happened twice today already, and once yesterday.

So clearly me telling people isnt working, I expect a few more might do it later as well.

Hi guys

As some of you have noticed the rooms are locked for the moment, they will be open again soon enough, lets hope some people have learnt something from the closing, because Admin will not be in a forgiving mood when they do open, if you don’t stick to the rules expect to be banned !

If you dont wanna chat, don’t come into the room as im pretty fed up of people logging in and straight out, if you dont like the rules dont come in, simple as that !

There have been some good points made on the forums, by some of the regulars, Pete made a good point when he said that woc isn’t an extension of msn messenger, this I feel is a very good point, people coming into the room and continuing a conversation they have had on msn, or continuing some kind of clicky chat among friends, this isn’t what chat is about, keep those conversations on your msn.

Its a shame that some people even started bickering on the Forums during a time when the chat room was closed, you people know who you are and you should take a look at yourselves, as you are all adults and responsible for the way you react to what people write on there, we could all read whats on the forums and take it personally.

People seem to enjoy finding insults in the tiniest comments and then replying with some kind of small coded dig and then it all carries on from there, well GROW UP this is what children do, she said this and he said that, its pathetic and if I see any more of it you will be banned, no questions asked, we don’t want to waste our time dealing with childish issues, we want to use our time to make World of Chat the best chat room on the net.
