These terms and conditions outline the rules and regulations for the use of our website, located at www.worldofchat.co.uk. This site is strictly for users aged 18 and over. By accessing this website, we assume you accept these terms and conditions. Do not continue to use World of Chat if you do not agree to take all of the terms and conditions stated on this page.

  1. User Accounts
    • Registration: Users may create an account on World of Chat to participate in our chat rooms and forums. Please note that the site requires separate accounts for the main social network and the chat rooms, as they are not yet integrated.
    • Eligibility: You must be at least 18 years old to register and use our services.
    • Profiles: All profiles are checked for completion and that someone is age-appropriate to be here, if you are underage your account will be deleted, if you don’t fully complete your profile, your account will also be deleted, this is to keep people safe.
    • Account Responsibility: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account information and for all activities that occur under your account.
  2. Content and Conduct
    • Content Posting: Users can post text, images, and videos. We encourage content that fosters positive social interactions and community building. However, users must ensure that they own the rights to any content they upload.
    • Prohibited Content: We prohibit adult content, hate speech, illegal activities, and other forms of content that violate Google AdSense policies.
    • User Conduct: Users are expected to engage respectfully. Spamming, harassment, or other disruptive behaviour may result in warnings or account suspension.
    • Social Login: We offer social login options through platforms such as TikTok, Reddit, Gmail, Discord, and Amazon. By using social login, users agree that their accounts on these platforms may be linked to their World of Chat accounts. Users are responsible for managing their social logins and can unlink them through their profile settings.
    • Chatbots: Our site features chatbots created by external providers. These chatbots are designed to enhance the user experience and may be trained using anonymised interactions on the site. Rest assured, any data used for training purposes remains confidential, is not linked to your personal identity, and is not shared with third parties. By using the chatbots, you agree that your anonymised interactions may be used to improve the chatbot experience. Private messages are never used for training.
    • Sexually explicit or suggestive usernames, profile descriptions, or display names are not allowed. This includes names that imply sexual services, animal-related content, or any other inappropriate or disturbing themes. Sexual roleplay, graphic sexual discussions, or sexting are strictly prohibited in the main chat rooms and forums. This includes suggestive or inappropriate language that could make others uncomfortable. Users engaging in sexual conduct in public areas will be warned or removed. If you must have adult conversations, keep them strictly to clearly labelled 18+ private chats and only with clear, mutual consent.
  3. Community Standards
    • Code of Conduct: At World of Chat, we strive to create a friendly, inclusive, and welcoming environment for everyone. We are committed to promoting respectful and engaging UK chat rooms where users from all walks of life can connect. Offensive comments about another person’s heritage, lifestyle, sexual orientation, medical condition, or mental health will not be tolerated and may result in removal from the site in extreme cases.
    • Homophobia: Dislike of or prejudice against people of homosexual orientation will not be tolerated. Abusive or offensive remarks about someone’s sexual orientation or lifestyle choice are prohibited across all site areas, including social media feeds, UK chat rooms, and discussion forums.
    • Racism: Racism is unacceptable on this site. Derogatory or abusive comments about another chatter’s heritage may result in removal from the site. Offensive remarks about someone’s race, heritage, or ethnicity will not be tolerated.
    • Religious Discrimination: World of Chat welcomes people from all religions and expects users to respect others’ religious beliefs. Healthy debate is encouraged, but abusive or discriminatory comments may lead to removal from the site.
    • Abuse, Harassment, and Discrimination: Abusing, insulting, or harassing another user is not allowed. We understand that banter between online friends happens, but abusive language, swearing, or direct insults aimed at another user are not acceptable.
    • Disputes: World of Chat staff will not involve themselves in disputes between users, except to help diffuse situations. If disputes arise, the first step should be to use the block function. However, if a dispute escalates or causes significant disruption, a staff member may intervene to resolve the issue.
    • Drug Talk: While it is permissible to discuss drugs and their effects in any 18+ room, any discussion regarding the distribution of illegal substances is strictly prohibited. Any user caught attempting to distribute illegal substances will have their account immediately suspended, and a report may be made to law enforcement.
    • Disruption and Flooding: Flooding the chat with repeated lines of text to cause disruption is not allowed. Disruptive behaviour that causes distress or extreme irritation to other users will be addressed by staff and may result in a ban in extreme cases.
    • Banned Words: Both the “C word” and the “N word” are banned site-wide.
    • Online Safety: For your own safety, we strongly advise against sharing personal contact information with other users. World of Chat holds no responsibility for the consequences of doing so. We also recommend against sharing pictures of a personal nature in private messages.
    • Sharing of Images: We love to see your pictures on the Stream and enjoy seeing what everyone is up to. However, we do not allow the sharing of explicit images. Nudity and graphic content are not allowed on the Stream, in the UK Chatrooms, or as profile pictures.
    • Spamming: We do not allow the spamming of other websites similar to ours. If you wish to share a website on Stream for another purpose, please seek admin approval first. Links to websites containing abusive or derogatory content are also prohibited.
    • Grooming and Sexual Harassment: Any user found to be engaging in grooming behaviour or sexually harassing another member will be removed from the site and may be reported to law enforcement in extreme cases.
    • Fake Accounts and Misrepresentation: While we support everyone’s right to anonymity, we retain the right to remove any user found to be misrepresenting themselves for sinister purposes, such as grooming or obtaining information through deception.
    • Underage Chatters: This site is for users aged 18 and over. Anyone caught lying about their age will be removed. If you suspect another user is underage, report it to staff immediately. Any user continuing to communicate with an underage chatter in private, without reporting it, may be removed from the site.
    • Sharing Another User’s Personal Details: Under no circumstances should any member share another user’s personal details. Doing so will result in immediate removal from the site.
    • Scammers: We advise against responding to requests for money or gifts from other users. Anyone found to be running a scam operation within the website will be removed and may be reported to law enforcement.
    • Reporting Another User: Please use the report form on the website for any complaints. All reports will be investigated by a member of the team. If your complaint involves private messages, your report can help us identify patterns of behaviour.
    • What You Can Expect from World of Chat Staff: Staff are selected for their problem-solving skills and positive attitude. Staff will be friendly, unbiased, and will not engage in trolling or offensive behaviour. Staff will join in chat rooms to make newcomers and regulars feel welcome. Staff will not share personal information about members. Staff will not discuss previous identities or when a user was last seen on the site. Staff will not discuss warns, kicks, or bans with other users. Questions about bans should be directed to the website’s contact page. Abuse of staff members will not be tolerated.
    When a complaint is made to law enforcement, World of Chat is legally obliged to comply with information requests made by appropriate authorities. Data will be provided in accordance with the 2018 GDPR.
  4. Content Ownership and Moderation
    • Content Ownership: Users retain ownership of the content they post but grant World of Chat a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute it within our platform. This license ends when content is deleted, unless it has been shared or quoted by other users.
    • Moderation: We reserve the right to remove content that violates our policies. Repeated violations may result in account termination. We reserve the right to monitor, edit, or remove any user content at our sole discretion if it violates our policies or applicable laws, without prior notice.     • Account Suspension/Termination: If your account is suspended or terminated, your content may not be automatically deleted. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account at our discretion for violations of our terms, community rules, or legal obligations.
